Limitations? Not with the Studio Pro 28. The Studio Pro 28 offers both front and top access for full artistic control. We call it Dual Access Design and it means you're not limited to front-load only or top-load only designs. With the Studio Pro 28 you get both.
Front load is perfect for glass placement directly on the large 24" x 24" kiln shelf. There are no walls to avoid or work around, just straight to the shelf. Horizontal glass manipulation like raking and combing are unrestricted.
Top Load makes loading and positioning of forms and molds easy and exact. Glass placement for slumping and draping operations is very easy and precise when coming in from the top. Top load also allows for vertical glass manipulation such as embossing. If you plan to slump and/or drape you'll want top load.
The Studio Pro 28 is available with a variety of controls from the TAP touchscreen to the economical Set-Pro. It's also available with our Quiet Drive Solid State output that delivers tight temperature control, longer heating element life and no relays to ever replace.
Like all of our kilns, the Studio Pro 28 is equipped with our exclusive Swing View Adjustable Enclosure. The swing view positions the controls in a pivoting enclosure that can be rotated up for a natural and relaxed position for programming and use. This same enclosure can then be rotated to the down position so controls can be viewed from across the studio. Programming your kiln should not be an exercise in gymnastics and the swing view is a welcome feature.
The Studio Pro 28 is delivered in two easy to manage sections so kiln location options abound. Navigating tight hallways or doors for setup is not an issue.
Front access to the chamber is perfect for glass placement, particularly with glass that can't be disturbed once placed
Chamber is also accessible through the top, useful for venting and using manipulation tools that require a vertical approach such as glass embossing

Evenheat's patented Quiet Drive Solid State Relay is hands down the best investment you can make in your kiln!
With no moving parts, this relay is able to be triggered up to 60 times a second as opposed to the upper limit of 10 times a second on the default mechanical relay. This means incredibly tight temperature control ensuring each and every one of your firings is as accurate as possible.
The Quiet Drive uses a special method call "Zero Crossing" that will ensure that the heating elements are off when the voltage is at 0V - Giving your heating elements a break so that they will last longer, and you'll save energy!
The best part though? Since there are no moving parts - the Quiet Drive Solid State relay should never need replacing! You will save money and time by never needing to worry about this in the future!

This is a great choice for a controller if you want the features of a smart controller, but want the ease of straightforward programming and use.
Furniture Kits are necessary accessories for any kiln owner as firing directly on the kiln floor is not only bad for the kiln, but your pieces as well. In addition to this, they're also useful! A furniture kit will allow you to stack multiple shelves on top of one another in order to maximize the useable space when firing smaller pieces.
If you have one that will fit this kiln size already, then you're in luck! But if not, you'll want to ensure you add this to your order as well.

Kiln furniture can be special ordered separately, but if done so the cost is ~10-20% higher and will incur a separate shipping charge. It's best to include this on your initial order of the kiln.

The standard order of this kiln comes with a stationary stand built to handle the weight, heat, and shape of the kiln. While this works perfectly fine, attempting to move your kiln can be a difficult maneuver and could result in a damaged stand, or worse - a broken kiln!
Ordering the caster wheels ensures the whole process of moving your kiln for any reason is a smooth and simple process.
No longer worry about if you're running out of room within your garage - you can tuck your kiln away in a corner when it's not in use! And of course - if you're one for moving the kiln around the studio or other rooms, this is essentially a necessity.
